Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I remember growing up and not the most stable conditions and having teachers that really made me feel safe and loved and I wanted to always be that space for our children

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most favorite teaching memories is when I was nominated for a Dunkin’ Donuts teacher award and I won a $25 gift card, which doesn’t sound like much but the sentiment behind it really kept me going in the hard times of Teach teaching, knowing that the parents and kids appreciated me

What would you do with the $25,000?

This money would really help me pay off my student loans and have a fresh start. I am also a new mom myself trying to navigate the financial difficulties of that based on the salary of a teacher in today’s times I have around $23,000 left to pay off my College tuition so this money would solely go to that in order to help my family better focus financially on other bills like my mortgage and groceries being a teacher today is hard because you spend so much of your own money on supplies
