I love teaching because it is fulfilling and I love the moments where science concepts fully click in a students mind. Those moments rule.

Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I love the sciences. My high school biology teacher really got me interested because I never felt ashamed or nervous to ask questions and express my curiosity.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most valuable teaching experiences often do not occur in the classroom, it often comes from attempting to field random questions to students outside of the classroom as I’m sort of seen as the science guy and students try to challenge me.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would likely pay off student loans and create a seed fund for my masters degree in education.
