I wanted to show all kids that they are capable, lovable, and smart. I had a tough time learning when I was younger and I wanted to help kids
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceWhen I got to be a mentor to an older student who had mental health issues. She was depressed and suicidal, and I had gone through a similar experience in the past. We became really good friends by meeting weekly for lunch or creative projects. That relationship lets me know I’m making a positive difference in this students life. Being there for someone who is going through something I have experienced myself. helping her navigate problems and come up with positive solutions, made me so proud!
What would you do with the $25,000?Pay off debts/bills that I got from spending too much money on my own kids and my classroom.
