Tell us why you became a teacher

When I was twelve years old I was sitting in math class. I kept thinking what did I want to be when I grew up. I didn’t want to feel left behind, and I thought I was not good at anything until that day when I realized I was great at math, and I loved teachers. So, from there my mind and heart was set on achieving that goal. It took me ten consecutive of never giving up years, but I finally made it to the finish line back in 2022. It was a huge deal.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

The students. I have enjoyed so much building relationships with them. They are my priority. Teaching students each year has been a blessing to take away as they’ve helped me grow as a person.

What would you do with the $25,000?

My parents struggle with health, and I have a baby on the way that will be due in June. Her name is Gracie Anne. I also have a seven year old little boy name Parker. My money would go towards them AND putting enough down to buy my granny and pawpaw’s house (they passed away and were a big part of my life) and losing them hurt me tremendously, and sometimes it still does, but my main priorities to spend money on are my parents and children. It’s all I ever wanted was to help and give.
