Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I have a deep love for learning, and I wanted children to experience that same excitement and joy. Learning should be fun, engaging, and empowering, not stressful or limiting. I became a teacher to protect that spark in children and to prove that every child, no matter how they learn, is capable of excellence when given the right support, high expectations, and someone who truly believes in them.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was creating a space where children who were once labeled “behind” began thriving. Watching students who struggled in traditional settings gain confidence, participate, and feel proud of themselves reminded me why I built a school focused on teaching the child, not the system. Seeing transformation in real time is unforgettable.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would reinvest it directly into my school to expand technology, upgrade our playground for sensory and gross motor development, and implement innovative learning tools that support diverse learners. My mission is to create an environment where every child thrives, and this funding would strengthen that vision. I would also dedicate a portion to provide a one-year scholarship for a student in need, ensuring access to an education built on belief, inclusion, and excellence.
