I became a teacher because I just was born with that desire to teach .Ever since I was little I would pretend to be a teacher with all of my 6 brothers and sisters . I was also inspired by my 4th grade teacher . She was such an amazing teacher she would allow me to help her teach a group of students . I loved it so much I decided that was my calling! Thirty two years later I know it was the best decision ever ! I love teaching!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI had a student who started in my class when I had just started teaching . This student would cry every day for one month. The parents’ trusted me and kept bringing her . Finally one day she stopped crying and came in very happy every day . Thirteen years later I was in line at the movies and I heard someone behind me call me “Mrs. Martha .” I turned around and she told me “ don’t you remember ? Alyssa your student who cried for such a long time. “ She gave me hug.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would buy stuff for my classroom such as a color printer and a laminator for my classroom .
