When I was still trying to figure out what career path I was interested in, I started working as an instructional assistant. I started as a substitute and then realized that I was good at supporting students. I decided to pursue teaching as a result! I love supporting kids as a whole child and seeing their growth from the beginning of the year to the end.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI would say the most memorable thus far has been when I first experienced the joy when a student finally "got it". I was a long term sub as a kindergarten teacher and a student was having a really difficult time with their letter sounds. When they 'got it", it was such an incredible feeling as a teacher.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use some of it for classroom supplies and some of it in investment accounts for my son's future!
