I knew I wanted to make a difference in people's lives, but teaching wasn't my first choice. I wanted to be a state trooper but my eyesight was too bad at the time. So teaching was my second choice, I'm glad it worked out that way.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI have taught two siblings off and on the last 5 years of my career and this year I teach both. To watch them grow and become the people they are today both academically and socially while also being a part of that journey as their teacher for so long, has been the highlight of my career.
What would you do with the $25,000?Pay off some of my debt and take a vacation. I would probably also buy some things for my classroom.
