I'm able to teach resilience and confidence to all students and help them see their abilities over anything else.

I became a teacher because I understand pain and resilience. Whether from my own life or what I've witnessed, I know how much one safe, consistent adult can matter. Teaching isn't just teaching subjects—it's about creating a space where kids can breathe.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceIn all my years as a teacher, and now Dean of Students, the moment that never loses power or gratitude is when a former student finds me — in a grocery store, at a gas station, across a crowded room — and says, 'I remember you.' Those are the moments that make the education experience come full circle.
What would you do with the $25,000?I honestly don't know what I'd do with that kind of money. One thing I'd say is it would definitely allow me to travel, giving me opportunities to experience all the beauty there is around us. Traveling would provide me time to breathe, be in the moment, and see places I otherwise wouldn't be able to see.
