There are so many reasons why I love teaching. It's amazing to watch a child grow throughout the year not only academically but socially too

Learn MoreI started my teaching career in an usual way. I was a mother with two young children. I was in college but needed a full time job. I found a job at a local childcare center. Even though I was going to school for Graphic Design. I decided that I enjoyed working with young children. I eventually finished my degree, but continued to work in education. Eventually, I went back to school to get my Masters in Education. Even though it wasn't the path I started out on I am glad I made that decision.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable experiences was when I was sitting with a student who felt that they would never be a reader. I listened to him read the story independently. When he finished he looked up at me with a big smile. I said "Guess what? You are a reader!" He said "you believed in me!" It was a great moment to experience as an educator.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use some of the money to put towards a purchase of a bigger house for my family. I would also donate some of the money to the local dog rescue that I volunteer at.
