I became a teacher because I believe early childhood is the most important foundation in a child’s life. I want to create a safe, loving environment where children feel valued, confident, and excited to learn. Watching them grow academically and emotionally brings me purpose. Teaching is not just my job—it is my passion and my way of shaping the future.

My most memorable teaching experience was helping a shy child who struggled to speak and participate. With patience, encouragement, and daily support, he began to communicate, follow routines, and smile with confidence. Seeing his growth and his family’s gratitude reminded me why I chose this profession. Moments like that stay in my heart forever.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If awarded $25,000, I would invest in creating a richer learning environment for my students—updating classroom materials, books, and hands-on learning centers that support early literacy and social development. A portion would also help me regain financial stability during a difficult divorce, allowing me to continue teaching with focus and strength while raising my daughter. This support would impact both my classroom and my family’s future.
