I love teaching because I always enjoy seeing the spark of joy when students learn how to play instruments and continue on through the years

I became a music teacher because I was good at it and my teacher and class made me feel like I belonged. I wanted others to feel like that too so since the 8th grade I knew I had to be a music teacher.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable moment was taking my first trip with my band and going look at the swamp on the university's campus (University of Louisiana Lafayette). One student had never seen an aligator before so that will be one of his most memorable moments. I love creating moments like these so my students can remember them.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would try to pay some of my students loans off mainly because the more money I can get monthly after they are finished means the more prizes and more teaching objects I can buy for my students. I work in a title 1 school so I am always bringing them prizes weekly. This keeps them motivated and working hard.
