I teach to leave a legacy—igniting curiosity, shaping minds, and empowering others long after I’m gone.

I became a teacher because I wanted to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. I’ve always enjoyed helping people understand things, and seeing someone go from confusion to confidence is incredibly rewarding. That feeling showed me how powerful teaching can be. My own teachers also played a big role in my decision. They supported, challenged, and inspired me, helping me grow both academically and personally. I wanted to have that same positive impact on others.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI love to see the different stages of development in children- progression! Every stage of their development makes me smile and want to share with families. It is the small details. A group once was working in the block area. They built a garage and I had not seen the beginning process but only the end result. So I didn’t see the car’s lined up and than the enclosure built all around it. When they moved the first 2 blocks they told me that the garage was locked with all cars inside it.
What would you do with the $25,000?That would be a dream come true! I never saw teachers get rewarded. We always buy things that students need. I would invest on some supplies for the children and also take a small break for myself.
