I became a teacher to help students become young functioning adults, to be able to build themselves up, escape whatever may be going on at home and find peace and love in my classroom. My goal as an educator is to create a safe space for students to build a better future for themselves.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThe best experience I had as a teacher was being able to take my students across the world to give them the opportunity to experience and see what they have learned in class in person. Nothing gives me more joy than seeing my students be able to step foot into the colosseum or being able to find their own independence as we navigate a new country.
What would you do with the $25,000?It would be a great honor to win $25,000 so that I may create a better classroom environment with new future and supplies. I would also create a scholarship opportunities so that my students may be able to travel with us to a new country that summer on the community trip.
