Tell us why you became a teacher

After graduating with a degree in computer science, I began my job search while also needing Fridays off to complete my thesis, which involved taking two classes (Fridays and Saturdays) and traveling to the city where I studied, a 4 hrs. commute from where I was living at the time. Fortunately, I was hired by a local university that allowed me a Mon-to-Thru work schedule and also offered me a scholarship to study for Master's degree as part of their employees benefits.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

While working in a preschool in the United States in the area of ​​special education, helping my students achieve their goals and become more independent was and will continue to be my most memorable experience: when they verbally ask for help, or that moment when can do an activity without help was a personal heart filled activity.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use it to invest in my professional development ( Im actually completing my teacher certification process) and share it with my family.
