Learn MoreI became a teacher because I believe education has the power to transform lives. As an immigrant, I understand how important it is for students to feel capable, valued, and represented. Through Computer Science and bilingual education, I strive to open doors for my students and show them they can create, innovate, and build a future full of possibilities.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable experiences was watching my students create their first technology projects while learning in two languages. Seeing their excitement as they programmed, solved problems, and explained their ideas in Spanish and English reminded me how powerful education can be. In that moment, I knew that teaching Computer Science in a dual language classroom can truly change how students see their future.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the funds to expand Computer Science opportunities for bilingual students by bringing more technology, robotics, and creative learning tools into the classroom. My goal is to inspire students to see themselves as innovators and problem solvers who can build a better future. Supporting their curiosity and confidence is the greatest investment we can make.
