Learn MoreBeing a teacher wasn’t my goal. My teachers growing up said I would be one but I always said no. I became a teacher to be that “person” for a student. Someone they not only learn educational skills from but who they learn life skills from. Someone that they can turn to when they need something or just someone to listen.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThe first time I got an “award” from a student. A student I had as a freshman gave me a lifetime impact award their senior year and that has stuck with me. I am seeing my “why” come to fruition.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would pay back loans I took out to further my education and become a better teacher. I would also set some aside for my twin boys education.
