As a child the went through the NYC school system and struggled with an undiagnosed learning disability and hearing teachers say you will never be "anything" I was determined to help make a difference for others. My parents helped me achieve my goal!!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI had a speech impaired student who had violent outbursts because no one took the time to really lesson to him. I sat with him and worked hard to understand that's when it all changed!!! When he graduated he thanked for taking the time to listen. He no longer was violent and had a heart of gold. That's what Paraprofessionals do!!
What would you do with the $25,000?I help as many students with special needs and learning disabilities as possible. All children can learn with a lot of support and listening.
