I absolutely love getting a new group of students each year. I want to give them the tools to be the best version of themselves!
Thank you for supporting Lisa McCullough in this year's competition. Your donations and participation will benefit The Planetary Society in their mission to advance space exploration, inspire discovery, and empower the next generation of innovators.
I became a teacher because I love planning and creating exciting engaging lessons for my students. I love helping children to find a love for learning new things. I also believe they can find joy in doing hard things when they realize it leads to making things easier.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI have had so many, but overall it is always so worthwhile when any of my students reach out after they leave my class. I have had students contact me years later when they are in high school and when they are in college. They like to say thank you for being their teacher. It is amazing to know that they remember you all those years later.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would give it to my Elementary School so we could improve in areas that we lack. For example, many of our classrooms are in need of some long overdue repairs, furniture, shelving, etc… Even though we are a public school, our building is quite old. We are very small as well so that much money could help us upgrade quite a bit!!!
