I became a teacher to make a positive impact in the community I represent. My students come from a disadvantaged background, and I wanted to teach them that they can make a difference. No matter their socioeconomic status, they have the ability and potential to become successful.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceWhen my scholars are engaged and excited, then let me know how fun the lesson was, they are excited to learn more. My scholars built their own rockets and got to shoot them off on a launch pad. Other classes went outside to watch their experience and celebrated.
What would you do with the $25,000?With $25,000 I would supply my students with science materials and do an experiment every week or after a lesson.
