Tell us why you became a teacher

I love to provide, native-level fluency in sign language, serve as relatable role models, and foster a positive, culturally sustaining identity. So I can offer unique, direct communication, firsthand understanding of deaf experiences & culture, and improved academic, social, and emotional development that hearing teachers often cannot,

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My special needs deaf student who struggled to understand of empathy. So they showed empathy and offering comfort when I was really sad or stressed out. They are very smart and proud of them to able to improved their express

What would you do with the $25,000?

Catching up my paying bills because living in Massachusetts is very expensive and teacher’s job is low paying. The money left that I would donated to Funding for classroom supplies, technology, and resources for deaf and hard-of-hearing students in K-12.
