As someone who’s taught English in the slums of Cambodia and in the public school system in MA, the thing I love the most is the students!

Working at summer camp changed my life. My boss showed me how much one person can impact students. I saw teachers before me give back to their communities, and I wanted to do the same. Helping others became my passion, so I chose teaching.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThe best experience I had teaching was being able to teach students and watch them grow from 7th graders to 12th graders and watch across that stage. I had the opportunity because I taught at a 7-12th grade school. I also loved that I was able to teach students who's parents taught me. It was a full circle moment and made me so proud.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use it to buy my students notebooks, and more school supplies that they usually cannot afford. I want to make sure I can help my students in any way I can.
