Tell us why you became a teacher

I had wanted to be a teacher since I was 8 years old. I have always loved school and learning. As a kid I would constantly play school and be the teacher whether it was playing with my friends or teaching to my stuffed animals.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience is every time I see a student understand the material. Watching it fall into place and click for them. There is no better feeling. Also each year when I dress up as a mad scientist and we have a full day of science incorporated into our learning for the day.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use some of that to go back and get my doctorate in education. I would also use some of it to increase the flexible seating options in my classroom as well as hands on STEM materials.
