My dad was a teacher and coach for more than 3 decades. He had time during the summers and holidays that my mom didn't have. Initially, I gravitated to education as I wanted the freedom to be available for my family that being a teacher affords. As I continued on the path to be a teacher I continued to grow in my passion for teaching math, especially algebra and trigonometry. Finally, teenagers are fun and interesting. I enjoy spending time with them.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThere are many... I am most definitely proud of my students who have gone on to be become teachers! My current position has me coaching new teachers. It is most enjoyable to see new teachers, who have boundless energy, passion, and creativity, grow into highly effective teachers and communicators. To see the excitement of learning in the teachers and students is inspiring.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would put it in my retirement account!
