Learn MoreMy passion for teaching began at an early age through volunteering as a teen swimming instructor on the campus of South Carolina State Univ.. During my high school years, I was able to instruct elementary kids in basic swimming lessons. Joy of observing children learn by doing motivated me to pursue a degree in education. The ability to develop and mode students’ cognitive and mental abilities provided a sense of being and motivation to make teaching not just a career but my driven purpose.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was a science Project-Based-Learning (PBL) unit where fourth grade students had to create a hydroponic system using recycled materials. Students created prototypes and researched ways to create a constant flow of water. After trial and error, students created hydroponic systems to grow vegetables.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use $25,000 to continue my studies in STEAM, go on a vacation, and pay off a bill.
