Learn MoreI became a teacher, because I want educate scholars that many teachers give up on. I was one of those scholars, so I want to do what my college professors done for me. They gave hope an opportunity to accomplish something I never saw in my future. That becoming an educator, teacher of the year, with two masters, and now pursuing my doctoral degree. A young lady that grew up in the housing projects with a young single mother. To a woman who turned single story into strength, courage, and wisdom.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was being able to teach an at-risk student in a private day school how to read a particular book the scholar had struggled with for a while. The look on the scholar's face when they were able to read the book without struggling gave the scholar a sense of accomplishment, and the scholar wanted to learn to read more books.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would pay off some debt, and pay on some of my doctoral program.
