Tell us why you became a teacher

I was a teacher assistant in my daughter‘s room in a special ed room and I had been an assistant for probably 20 years and my daughter said mom you’re already doing it so why don’t you go to school and get your degree so she is my force and the kids are my why.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience is when I got my first teaching position and had my name on my classroom door. I was able to put my students names on my desk on their desk decorate my classroom to make it welcoming for my students my kids.

What would you do with the $25,000?

What would I do but $25,000, I work in a school that doesn’t have much. Families that have much, so with some of it I would make sure that the ones that I could identify that needed assistance with food, clothes, and shelter. I would help them with that and I would buy supplies for the classroom so I could help with their learning their activities that we do just enhance learning for all the students.
