Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I have always loved school, learning, and being around people. I love the pace of school, contuining to learn more and become a smarter individual, and being a positive person in my community.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience is trying to find ways to make the learning more engaging. As a history teacher, I look to engaging primary sources to make the history come to life or simulations to make it more interesting. We do a quick simulation while learning about Henry Ford where we simulate an assembly line with building Legos.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would probably spend doing things and making memories with our 4 kids. Our time with them is so precious as they are growing up so fast and I want to make sure to soak up as many core memories with them as possible.
