Learn MoreI wanted to become a teacher because education has always been a meaningful part of my life. My grandmother was a teacher, and her passion for helping others learn inspired me deeply. My grandpa also taught us the importance of giving back to our community, which shaped my desire to make a difference. Teaching allows me to support students, build connections, and contribute positively to the next generation.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable teaching experiences was watching a student who had struggled all year make a breakthrough. On a final assessment, he clearly wrote his name and every letter of the alphabet for the first time. While this may seem minor, it was my first real experience of seeing clear proof of achievement in my teaching, making it incredibly meaningful and rewarding.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to pay off my debt, which would relieve a significant financial burden. This would allow me to focus more fully on my teaching career without the constant stress of making ends meet. It would also reduce my need to work multiple jobs, giving me more time and energy to support my students and grow as an educator.
