Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I’ve always known I wanted to work with children. There’s nothing more rewarding than impacting early childhood development and fostering a genuine love for learning. I especially love helping my all my preschool students reach the milestones that lead to independence. Seeing my students grow, not just academically, but as funny, sweet, and innocent individuals is a total joy. It’s an honor to be part of their journey as they blossom into who they are meant to be!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

It’s hard to pick just one moment, but my favorite part of teaching is watching my students’ kindness in action. In my inclusion classroom, nothing pulls at my heartstrings more than seeing a general education student step up to help a peer with special needs on their own. Whether they are helping them with a task or inviting them to play, seeing that natural inclusion and friendship is so beautiful. It shows me that they are growing into truly kind and caring people every single day!

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I had $25,000, the first thing I’d do is set some aside to help my one-year-old have a bright future. Of course, I’d also throw a big classroom celebration for my sweet students to celebrate all their hard work! Family is everything to me, so I’d use the rest to help our family grow and create even more special memories together. It would be such a blessing to support my loved ones while also bringing a little extra magic and joy to my school family!
