Kristina Inman

I love teaching because it is very rewarding. There is no better feeling than students having an aha! moment after doing challenging tasks.

Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher to build connections with students. Those relationships help facilitate learning and understanding of the world around us. I enjoy planning and implementing hands-on experiences that students will remember for years. I wanted to spark the joy of learning, reading, and science!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable experience is when I first introduced STEM challenges! We spend days building up skills tinkering in makerspaces to prepare for a weekly challenge. The challenges are real-world problems that get the students motivated.

What would you do with the $25,000?

There are a couple things I would do. For starters, I would love to implement an after school STEM club at my school. Secondly, I would use the money to continue my education so I can make a bigger impact on students!
