I’ve wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I remember playing school as early as 5 years old & making my stuffed animals do schoolwork. I’ve always loved children for their creativity, curiosity & imagination - nothing & everything amazes them at the same time! I’ve always wanted to give children the fun learning environment that I had growing up.

Teaching kindergarten, every day is amusing! One year I was an ESOL host classroom and I had one little boy who spoke zero English. His parents also spoke very little. By Spring conferences, his mom opened a decodable reader and began reading. She told me her son, my student, was teaching her at home! I cried. By the end of the school year, the same little boy uttered a full paragraph in English like it was his first language! I love seeing the growth in children!

Selfishly, I’d like to take a trip out of the country because I’ve never been anywhere but North America. Realistically, I’d spend some on my classroom to make it feel comfortable for my students.
