I had the most amazing Jr. High teacher who inspired me to teach. She was everything I needed as a young girl. My dad and uncles were also teachers and they always told me I had a gift for teaching. It more than a job to me, it's my calling!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was teaching online during COVID. It gave me the most amazing insight into my students lives what they go through at home and how to make learning personal for them. A lot of times we have no idea what happens after they leave our classroom but during that time I got to see the good and the bad. It gave me a new level of empathy love and responsibility for my students that I carry with me now.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use it for a playground remodel. I would love to create some outdoor learning spaces and to make our playground more inclusive with equipment that our students with special needs could use.
