Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceTo see one of my early learners who has autism reach one of his major goals of carrying on an extended conversation with one of his peers. I was so happy...it took everything in me not to run over and join the conversation, hug him, or both. When he walked away, I walked over to him and tears were in my eyes. I asked if I could give him a hug and he gave me one, then looked at me and said, "It will be okay Mrs. Kima". That made my day even the more...identifying emotions too!!! Omgoodness!!!
What would you do with the $25,000?After celebrating with my class...I would make sure that all the teachers on our hall received a hefty thank you because at our facility we work as a team and they work as hard as I do for their students and my students also.
