Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I had wonderful kindergarten and first grade teachers and I wanted to be like them. They believed in all of us and it has carried over to me. I also believe in the potential of every child in their own way.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience is when I had the eggs in an incubator and they hatched. The class was so excited to see the baby chicks hatch. After many years, I saw one of my students and he still remembered that event.

What would you do with the $25,000?

First and foremost,I would pay my tithes. Then I would invest in high quality hands on materials for all classes so the scholars to explore. I would also use part of the funds to plan enriching field trips that expand the learning of the scholars outside of the classroom with real-world experiences.
