I became a teacher to share my love for science and spark the love of learning in young kids. My goal is to encourage life long learning in as many students as I can. Always ask why!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceIt’s hard to pick just one. I make a point to every year to create a safe space for all students to learn, grow and be heard. I have had my share of challenges and one that stands out is a student that developed several challenges over the year seemingly from no where. This includes Tourettes and OCD which caused many ticks and made it extremely difficult for him to not only learn and make friends. By the end of the year he could function in the classroom and had lots of friends.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use that to help pay for my masters degree to continue my education, of course add to my classroom to continue making it a comfortable space for everyone, and put some in a savings account for my 3year old daughters education fund.
