Tell us why you became a teacher

I didn’t just become a teacher… I answered a calling.I became a teacher because I know what it feels like to need someone to believe in you—and I wanted to be that person for somebody else. The one who sees potential even on the days they don’t see it in themselves. Some kids just need that one person who doesn’t give up on them… and I decided I was going to be that person.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I had a student who struggled a lot and would shut down anytime the work got hard. One day, after a lot of encouragement and patience, something finally clicked for them. I watched their whole face light up and they said, “Wait… I can do this“ That moment stuck with me. Not because of the assignment, but because of the confidence they found in themselves. From that day on, they started trying more, believing more, and showing up differently.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would put it towards opening up my day care that’s my biggest dream/goal in life
