I became a teacher because I have a passion for helping others, and I wanted to give back. I first began taking undergraduate courses because I really enjoyed the content area I was teaching, then working with the kids cake as a plus. I also knew I wanted to coach, and to work with my students in a different environment has truly been a joy.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was in my 7th year, when one of my students put in their yearbook that I inspired them to study engineering at UConn based on their experience in my class. That and seeing a former student athlete of mine at the NFL combine and play in a preseason NFL game for the Panthers.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would save and invest half of it, and put the other half towards a new car.
