Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I wanted to utilize my artistic gifts in theater within education and help young minds master their skills the way my teachers taught me. I knew I had a gift and wanted to share it with the youth. Years later I segued into early childhood education and I love it! I switched to early learning because I wanted to find the root cause of illiteracy in so many of high school students. I am nowan advocate for early learners and their literacy skills!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable yet cherishing teaching experience would be the year I lost my best friend in 2023 and without these 3 or 4 years old knowing, they poured a tremendous amount of love, compassion, and joy on me each day! Every day I woke up awaiting to see them. It was the BEST teaching experience in my life. They were glued to me in every lesson and very excited to learn.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use it to invest in my Early Childhood Arts School called CROWNS Education which I am relaunching Summer 2026. It has always been a dream of mine to have my own early learning performing arts center for PreK-3 students. I would purchase the music instruments, art supplies, dance necessities, and theater supplies to jump start the school. It would also use it to help pay for teachers to help. $25,000 would help me tremendously!
