Tell us why you became a teacher

My theatre teacher was amazing and I realized she really enjoyed her job. She made such an impact on myself and my classmates. I decided I wanted to be just like her.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I really can’t pick just one. I’m so very lucky with what I teach because I get to see students outside of my classroom. I love to watch my video kids get great footage and then come up with amazing videos. I also love spending time with my Theatre kids during rehearsals. I have many great stories from rehearsals. One of my greatest joys as a teacher, though is seeing the pride on students faces as their video plays for the school or the applause comes from the audience.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I’m getting my master’s so I would like to pay a lot of that off, but I think I would also donate some back to my students and buy some equipment for theatre and video that we need.
