Teaching found me when I needed direction most. After earning a marketing degree and working in aviation, COVID paused my career. I stepped into classrooms as a substitute teacher and discovered my true purpose. Watching students grow, question, and believe in themselves inspired me to become a certified teacher. Today I’m grateful that my work helps inspire curiosity and build the future through the minds of my students.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceA student once stayed after class and said, “I used to think I wasn’t smart, but now I know I can learn anything if I try.” That stopped me in my tracks. Moments like that are unforgettable. They remind me that teaching isn’t just about academics—it’s about helping children believe in themselves.
What would you do with the $25,000?$25,000 would change more than my bank account—it would change my breathing room. I’d pay down student loans and finally purchase a dependable vehicle. Teachers pour everything into their classrooms, even when the paycheck doesn’t match the impact. This support would help me stand on stronger financial ground while continuing to build the future through my students.
