Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher to instill a love of science to the future generation. I stay because of the relationships I've built with all of my students, present and past. I love helping students find passion, in science or anything else in live l life

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I have many, and it's hard to pick one. One of the most memorable was this last year. After losing a student I was very close with, many of my other students reached out to me to help me through the difficult loss and others relied on me for comfort. One of the hardest events in my life showed me how loved I am by my students and how much I can help them in their time of need. This helped cement my believe that our school is one big family and will show up when others need it most.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would do so many things. Number one would be pay off debt. I would love to take my family on a trip. My sons husband and I have never been on a trip without other family members. Lastly, I would use money to help my classes by getting more supplies and hands on activies or field trips!
