Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher to help students who feel overlooked discover their strength. Many carry challenges that others only see as behavior. I want to be the adult who sees their potential, guides them through mistakes, and helps them grow. Watching students begin to believe in themselves is the most rewarding part of my work.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable moments was when a student known for constant behavior issues finally stopped mid-outburst, took a breath, and used the coping strategy we had practiced. Instead of escalating, he chose to walk away and later returned to finish his work. That small moment showed me that patience, consistency, and belief in students truly changes lives.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won $25,000, I would invest in resources and experiences that help my students build confidence, manage emotions, and develop life skills. Many of my students face challenges beyond academics, and the right support can change their path. I would also continue my own professional growth so I can better serve every student who walks into my classroom.
