Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because of the amazing teachers I had growing up. They made school a place I actually looked forward to every day. I looked up to them so much, and they inspired me in ways I didn’t fully realize at the time. As I got older, I knew I wanted to be that kind of person for my own students.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

As cliché as it sounds, I can’t pick just one memory. There are so many little day-to-day moments with my students like laughing, dancing, singing in our class that make my job so special.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With the $25,000, I’d be able to put a down payment toward my dream of owning a house, and I’d also use some of it to support my students and make my classroom an even better place for them.
