I love to teach to be a positive change in a child’s life and to remind them that challenges do not diminish their worth or potential.

I became a teacher because I use to work in residential/mental health. I was physically assaulted by a child and I quit. However my love for children led me to still help the youth but in a less hostile environment.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable moment had to have been getting teacher of the month my first 2 months at my job. Not because I care about the award but because my scholars and my peers all made it clear that they see me. I was on a mention to lead our youth and I’m forever doing so
What would you do with the $25,000?Honestly I’m a 31 year old teacher and I live with my parents I would use part of it to find stable housing and then I would find resources or make resources from those who need the help. I’d also have more funding for my 2nd annual black history month science fair
