Teaching chose me long before I chose it. I’ve always been drawn to nurturing growth, but early childhood showed me how powerful small moments are. A comforting word, a patient pause, a celebration of effort — these shape a child’s future. I became a teacher to make those moments count.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable experience wasn’t big or dramatic. It was seeing a child who once needed constant reassurance begin to say, “I can do it.” That shift in confidence meant more than any perfect lesson ever could.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the funds to build a stable foundation for my future, whether that’s a home or preparing to start my own family. Stability allows teachers to stay in the classroom long-term. Supporting educators personally helps sustain the passion and consistency children need most.
