Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I believe one adult can change the entire direction of a child’s life. Education is more than content.. it’s confidence, resilience, and possibility. I wanted to be the person who sees potential before it’s visible, who builds leaders, and who reminds students every day that they are capable of more than they ever imagined.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable moment wasn’t a championship win or a perfect lesson. It was when a student who struggled all year finally believed in themselves. After weeks of doubt, they stood taller, tried again, and succeeded. The look on their face wasn’t about the grade; it was about confidence. In that moment, I was reminded that teaching isn’t about content it’s about impact.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won $25,000, I’d invest some of it into my students. I’d create innovative, hands-on learning experiences, upgrade equipment and technology ( we do not have a lot right now! ) bring in real-world opportunities that expand their vision beyond our walls. I’d also fund wellness and leadership initiatives so every student feels seen, supported, and inspired to lead. It wouldn’t change my life—it would change theirs.
