Tell us why you became a teacher

My love for teaching happened when I was in Kindergarten! My teacher was absolutely amazing and I wanted to be just like her! So I make sure that all of my lessons are engaging. I find the students passions. And I spark ideas grow!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Right now I am a STEM teacher, so I am excited to teach my students how to problem solve, take on challenges and work together. One day as we finished a hard challenge with my 3rd graders, a student came up to me and says, “Man I thought I was going to hate this activity but you always have a creative way to bring out the best in us. Thanks!” This came from a student who dreaded coming to STEM last year.

What would you do with the $25,000?

$25,000 is a lot of money to do some good with. I would probably put some of it back in my classroom to make brighten up my classroom. Then the rest would be to go on a family vaca as they are my biggest supporters!
