Tell us why you became a teacher

I began my career in education as a teacher assistant and was inspired to become a licensed educator. In that role, I found deep meaning in guiding young children as they developed academic skills and learned to be kind, thoughtful, and confident. Now, as a classroom teacher, I am honored to help build the strong foundation of knowledge and character they will carry with them for years to come.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

The moments that really stay with me are when a former student drops by just to say hi. Seeing how they’ve grown, what they’re doing now, and how they’ve turned into such kind, capable people—way beyond anything we covered in class—those little visits light up my whole day. They mean the world to me.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Like many educators, we do not receive pay during the summer months, additional income would help ensure financial stability and cover essential expenses. Any remaining funds would be used to contribute toward long-term savings and retirement planning.
