Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThe first time I ever saw the wheels actively turning in a students head and a “lightbulb” moment occur was when I was teaching a 5th grader fractions. When I finally realized he understood, I almost started crying.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would save some of it to set up my own classroom next year, because it will be my first year teaching completely on my own! I would donate some to the PTA so they could continue their A Touch of Understanding program where students learn about what it is like to live with disabilities.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like America's Favorite Teacher, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
